Everyone wants to hit a home run. For anyone who plays baseball, obviously home runs aren’t everything. There is a lot more to the game. You want a good bull pin, people who can get on base and a defense that doesn’t commit errors. There is a lot to winning a baseball game. For marketing, its the same. Very rarely is it just one thing that will get you a win. I recently came across a case by Google and how they used marketing channels accessible to small business to advertise their products.
TV is still a big deal. Netflix, mobile phones and tablets may be more prevalent, but nothing draws more attention than TV. People still tune in for big events like the Super Bowl, season finales and of course just the weekly ritual of catching up with your favorite characters. These shows are an extremely integral part of our lives and often what shows we watch build our personality. This is where businesses can hone in and start creating their own personality and make a connection with their customers.
Twitter Chats are pretty much the pinnacle of Social Media networking. They offer real time engagement on topics you want to discuss. Sometimes though, the most famous twitter chats just don’t work around your schedule. I know for myself, there are a couple Twitter Chats that are a little too early for me and because I work late, it gets difficult to wake up in time to participate. The business environment right now is all about life hacking and efficiency. For small business owners and entrepreneurs, it is a life saver. Having to operate a business, manage a workforce and at the same time, be expected to create a successful complete marketing campaign is just too much.
